PIANO

Catherine began her piano studies at age 5, winning 1st place at the Canadian Music Competition's national finals at just 7. She made her Carnegie Hall debut at 14.

She earned her Bachelor of Music from the Juilliard School, her Master’s from the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles in Belgium, and is currently pursuing a PhD at the Université de Montréal.

Catherine has won numerous international piano competitions, including the 2024 Yamaha Benelux Award, the Val Tidone International Piano Competition (Italy), the Tkaczewski International Piano Competition (Poland), the Paderewski International Piano Competition (Poland), the London Grand Prix, the Sixth Camerata Artists Competition (New York), and the Bremen International Piano Competition (Germany).

Catherine is fluent in English, French, and Mandarin.

Daniel Corrigan a bass player based in Montréal, Québec, Canada. He has over a decade of experience performing, arranging and teaching music, and holds a Bachelors of Music in Composition-Improv and Double Bass from Wilfrid Laurier University.

He’s recorded and toured with a diverse range of artists such as Eroll Starr, Cecile Monique, Hayden Nolan and Vera Casa Opera.

Though trained in classical and jazz, his work in all styles ranging from pop-country to metal brings an appreciation of any type of music that students want to connect with.

Mary-Kate Edwards specializes in teaching Jazz Vocals and Classical Flute and Piano. She has over 20 years of musical education.

Her debut album, 'Blueberry Pie,' garnered critical acclaim and received support from the Ontario Arts Council in 2017. Currently, Mary-Kate is working on a new record for release in 2025.

Mary-Kate's teaching style creates a nurturing environment, where both fun and discipline can flourish together.

As a clarinetist, Jack Lau has appeared in Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, Orchestre 21, Orchestre de l’Université de Montréal, Ensemble de musique contemporaine de l'Université de Montréal, Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra.

He has performed in different countries, in cities such as Daqing, Harbin, Hong Kong, Montréal, Phoenix, Quebec City and Yekaterinburg.

VOCALS / PIANO / GUITAR / SONGWRITING

Andrea has over 20 years of musical education, including finger style guitar and lifelong studies in voice and piano and a certificate in songwriting with Berklee Online. She has been teaching musical students of all ages for the past three years and has 20 years of experience in education.

Andrea’s first three singles have all aired with CBC Radio under her artist name Drea Lake, her full length album will be released in 2025.

Andrea is a loving and dedicated teacher that seeks to ignite the enthusiasm and dreams of her students. She motivates them to persist towards their goals.

GUITAR / PIANO / UKELELE

Adrian Buccella is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, singer songwriter, and educator. He earned an Honours Bachelor's in Guitar at Humber College in Toronto where he studied under the country's most celebrated jazz musicians. While guitar is his primary instrument, Adrian also plays piano, ukulele, and mandolin.

"My goal first and foremost as an educator is to share my love of music--but if there is a specific lesson I aim to impart it is that with a little practice and discipline anything is possible."

PIANO

Tao holds a PhD in Music Interpretation (Piano Performance) from the University of Montreal.

She has also studied at the Conservatoire de musique et d'art dramatique du Québec in Piano Performance and has a Masters in Piano Performance from The Peabody Institute of the John Hopkins University, one of the premier music schools in North America.

Tao is fluent in English and Mandarin.

PIANO

Krystal Do, graduated from the Vietnam Academy of Music studying and completing her Baccalaureate in Piano Interpretation in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Recently, she received a scholarship in Piano Performance at the Université de Montréal under the instruction of Dang Thai Son, and has won first prize in Vietnam National Piano Competition among her many musical achievements.

Krystal is fluent in Vietnamese, English, and French.

VIOLIN / PIANO

Sofia-Marie Bergeron studied the violin at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal.

From 2013 to 2016 Sofia-Marie joined the International Menuhin Music Academy to work with Maxim Vengerov and had the opportunity to play many concerts in Switzerland, Poland, Italy, Israel, and Macedonia as a member and soloist of the Menuhin Camerata.

Sofia is fluent in English and French.

OWNER / PIANO

For over 30 years, Kathy Liarakos has taught piano privately to students of all ages.

Kathy is currently a Royal Conservatory of Music Affiliate and teaches the complete RCM program. She specializes in classical music lessons including theory, performance, recitals, and technic from beginner to advanced. She also teaches music in daycare, preschool, and kindergarten.

Kathy is fluent in English, French, and Greek.

GUITAR / UKELELE / BASS GUITAR / UPRIGHT BASS / MUSIC THEORY

Srikanth works with his students to help them develop strong fundamentals of playing and musicianship, so they can go on learning and growing long after the lessons have stopped.

Srikanth completed a B.Mus from McGill University and has taken independent Jazz Studies at Concordia University.

As an electric bassists and upright bassist, he has performed professionally on cruise ships for many years as well as in many of the well known Montreal jazzy-lounge venues, and private events.

PIANO

Emily is currently based in Montreal, completing an Artist Diploma (DEPA) at the Université de Montreal under the tutelage of Jean Saulnier and Charles Richard-Hamelin. She holds a Master’s Degree from the Université de Montréal, a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Ottawa, and a LRCM diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.

Emily has performed at esteemed venues such as the National Arts Centre and Carnegie Hall, and toured twice across Ottawa, Spencerville, and Montreal. Her recording of Reflections in the Water (2021) by Juno Award nominee Vincent Ho has been praised as “simply FANTASTIC”, with “beautiful musical touch” and “terrific feeling for narrative arc”.

Emily is fluent in English and French. She enjoys teaching and draws on her extensive performance experience to nurture musical sensitivity, technical confidence, and artistic curiosity in all of her students.

Dr. Dao Pham is a classically trained pianist with over 15 years of teaching experience. He holds a PhD in Music from Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge), a Master of Music from the Université de Montréal, and a BFA from Concordia University. Dao brings a depth of academic rigor and practical musicianship to students of all levels.

Rooted in a distinguished pedagogical lineage inspired by Yaron Ross, Mîndru Katz, and Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, his teaching emphasizes technical mastery, expressive depth, and mindful, efficient practice. Lessons are always tailored to each student’s individual goals and learning style.

Dao teaches classical piano at all levels, beginner jazz, and music theory, and has extensive experience preparing students for RCM piano examinations. He believes that the discipline, focus, and problem-solving skills developed through music study are transferable to all areas of life.

With over 25 years of experience in piano, flute, voice, music theory, and songwriting, Katrina Olsen brings both depth and passion to her teaching. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Toronto and has spent decades helping students of all ages develop confidence and skill through music.

DRUMS

Shayne Assouline is professional drummer with more than a decade of in-studio and live experience. Shayne has played hundreds of local and international shows, festivals, cruise ships, weddings and dozens of recordings. His expertise doesn’t only extend to performance as he has also taught music in a private and school setting.

Shayne has attended Vanier College, Jazz Specialization as well as Concordia University’s Jazz Program. He has worked in Hip-hop, Rock, Metal, Punk, Jazz, Fusion and Pop bands as well as an established improviser in Montreal’s local scene. Shayne’s ideology of music is heavily influenced by the idea of music and rhythm as a language with a focus on real life applications of music through song learning, functional music theory and discovering drums and music through a fun and passionate lens. 

His project HAÜSBAND is host to one of Canada’s largest improvised jam sessions; GrowveMTL, which has had appearances from artists such as Willow Smith, Thundercat, JD Beck and Domi, and many many more world renown artists from around the planet.
